Hey peeps.
Seeing a used 2006 Skyline jazz style for a smoking deal but can’t try before buying (out of province)

Wondering what changes have been made between 2006 and current skylines. Anyone know the neck on this vintage?

06 should be Korean rather than Indonesian ... Korean I believe are preferred by most.

Also, if it’s a JO, it may have Fralins. Or if it’s a DJ, it may have Aeros. Either of which, also preferred by most.

Seller says it has fralins.
So it’s full jazz bass size and shape then? What’s the nut? 1.5?

Body isn’t exactly like a Jazz, it’s a little slimmer in the waist and lower horn, but you’d have to lay one on top of the other to notice it. Very vintage jazz feeling.

VVT or Stack Knob? Either way you’ll love it, won’t be disappointed... if for some reason YOU don’t vibe with it, someone will snap it up after you... low risk purchase

Vvt. I’m coming from a MIM Geddy Lee, and for the same bones thought why not sell it and go to the Skyline for a better fit and finish etc.

There's tons that are sold as P/Js and several on here that have converted theres. You will love it! Move the jack to the side of the instrument, and you won't need to drill into the pickguard.

Yes I did....I had a 2002 which I converted several years ago. Had Carl Pedigo do the work.

You need to assure that there pickups "play nice" together.
