Just highlighting the beauty that is 55-02/55-94 bass as I played both of mine this weekend and got compliments from the respective sound guys at each gig that they didn’t have to do
anything to get my bass to sit right in the mix. I post this because the band I’m in consists of two electric, 1 acoustic, fiddle, keys, and drums so the sonic space is somewhat limited. One of my 55-02’s is equipped with the LH3 pre running steel strings and my other one has the Bart pre and I’m running flats. I run primarily just a DI (maybe a little dirt but no EQ other than what’s available on the bass. They are a veritable Swiss Army knife of tone and play so incredibly easy.
I know; preaching to the converted. Anyway, here they are. Spalt has the LH3 w/steels and Quilt has the Bart with flats.
