really? just one? for how long? The Green Lantern's bass of choice! Nice Tyler, I'll add this to my list of colors for Old Joe, when I ever get around to it.
And yes, down to just one bass! It IS possible!
vultures I tell ya!Freaking Savages... I haven't even put my strings on it yet.
awesome man....good luck!My band has a showcase for Sony Records in Nashville Tuesday night. We're heading up there tomorrow to rehearse for a few days before the show. I'm planning on taking both my Mike Lull V4 and Lakland 55-14 with me, and I'll decide in the rehearsals which one I'm going to use for the showcase. We're only playing 6 of our songs for them, so I'm just going to use one bass for the whole set.

I'm avoiding extra basses for a while. The pursuit of "the next" kept me from spending time learning.
oh man Tyler... that is awesome!!!!!
I see you chi'd it up as well!
excellent
My heart goes out to you, having to suffer with such poor quality instruments. My band has a showcase for Sony Records in Nashville Tuesday night. ahhhh.....now I remember.....niceNo, it had chis already. I owned it before, it used to be charcoal with the crooked lakland logo... Anyway, it has the beat neck ever and I should have never sold it. Ultimately I decided to keep the chi prototype and let this one go. It also had a preamp when I owned it. Anyway... It was heavy and the finish was kinda crappy, by it always sounded great and the neck was amazing. I sent it to Pat and he absolutely nailed the color. I sent him a pic of a '61 jazzmaster as reference but asked him to do it exactly like Lakland CAR, but in green. He definitely hammered it. Additionally, the bass is literally a full lb lighter than it used to be. I'll try to get some real pics so you guys can really see the color, its beautiful in person.
Whoa!! Love it!!!Whatcha got on a Candy Green USA JO CS Custom? View attachment 435955 View attachment 435956 View attachment 435957
Whoa!! Love it!!!
Hnm. That's too bad as I'm not sure I want to upgrade both simultaneously rather it will be enough just to change out one of the two components.Hey Robin- I think it's kind of hard to separate the two... I don't think I've ever heard one without the other...
Excellent choice of green for that bass Tyler, man I miss that neck!
Yeah, the neck is too sweet... BTW, the new finish shaved an entire lb off the weight of the bass. Crazy... I asked Pat about it and he said when he stripped the bass it had a ton of paint on it.
Was the bass a Skyline? Does he have Lakland decals he can put on headstocks?
