Lakland Owners Group #69

I will have to measure fast... Rumblefisher just talked me out of #93. Bittersweet parting for sure, but she will be going to another early Lakland lover. Ugh... I can’t play them all, and have way too many. That’s what I tell myself when I sell one that I’ll never be able to replace.

So..it went to rumblefish eh????

At least it's going where it will be loved... And the money went to a good cause... Did she say "yes"???

Nosy LOGgers wanna know!!!! :)

Hi LOGers, has anybody had this happen to their ebony dot Lakies? There is an off green/yellowish coloured stain surrounding each of the dots on my 44-51. Has been there for years but i only notice it when i look close in the right light every so often and thought I'd see if anyone else has expierenced this or knows a potential cause.. hard to capture properly:

And a full bass shot for good measure. Serial T27, built in 2014. Finally put some LaBellas on recently. I suspect I'll never take them off. This thing is such a joy

Great looking bass...

None of mine...
Tbh .. Cannot really see it in your pics

Fraud alert over on Reverb. Don’t buy this bass. This is a fake listing using the exact same pictures from the fake one I tried to buy back in March.

You’ve all been warned.

I have a Sadowsky metro will Lee, and a Lakland 55-94 with the Barts.
If I curb the sadowskys vintage tone control all the way off, and boost the bass all the way- it’s still not as dark as the Lakland set flat! trying to get my head around it.
On one level there’s a lovely sound that underpins a mix, on another it would be no e if it sounded a bit more open

I would be interested in measurements and comparisons, if you're able/willing to post and share. That would be great info to have.
Sorry it took me so long! There's some small differences between SN 11 and SN 93's neck measurements. #11 has been played A LOT, and had some mods done at Lakland, at some point. It would not surprise me if the neck has been sanded and had tru oil reapplied multiple times. Either way, both are the two best feeling Lakland 4 string necks that I've laid my hands on, and #93 is definitely the easiest of all to get low low action on!
