The Lakland B string is the best in the business ( at least in my humble opinion) so that may be a factor

Just a follow up. Practice was a huge success! It was a sunny, warm southern New England spring day and our guitarists birthday. It was great to see everyone and play a set. It was easy to maintain safe protocols and the band and “distanced” neighbors enjoyed the afternoon.
So my coworker buddy whom I sometimes play acoustic shows with asked me to record bass for a cover of Peaceful Easy Feeling he’s recording. I took it as a great opportunity to try out the new 55-64 and get a sound sample of the Nordstrand NP5 pickups.
The setup is 55-64->Sonic Farm 2DI4->Focusrite Scarlett->Logic Pro X. All I’m running is a little compression and slight EQ in Logic.

I like how it sits right in there with some nice and beefy low mids.

I need to listen to that but on a real computer and not on my phone with the rain going crazy in the backyard. It's beautiful out there but I think your bass playing will be much better than the pouring rain.

Well it's official today that Orange County, CA is allowing sitdown restaurants and patios to open for business. A little too late for our tentative gig today but should be able to book another and the June and July gigs should be safe to go. Nine gigs lost to the insanity. Let's hope that most of the small businesses and restaurants stay afloat.
We lost a lot of really cool dates as well. We are wondering if the venues that survive will be able to afford to pay a band. Will it all come down to working the tip bucket? While playing a Lakland(back on topic).
I'm very concerned about the small restaurants. I typically travel a lot for business and love to find a nice local place for dinner. I am not too much of a chain guy when I'm out on my own.
I may not be traveling much in the future. It all depends on which direction this Society goes. But if I do, I want a nice sit-down local place to have dinner and a beverage.
For those of us in the United States Monday is a very special day.....a day of rememberance...

I see you have the Nordstrand NP4as on your 5P. Awesome pickups those, and I can understand how those would kill those Dark Barts, or whatever you have in the '02.
I would say 5502 is a polite & well mannered gentleman, while 5564 is a bad boy who loves to kick ass
My 02 has LH3 btw..the 5564 was the very last available Lakland in any store in my country, I'm lucky to have that one.
