Lakland Owners Group #69

Me:
Hmm
So no OHSC and in admittedly worse condition than the original listing had it presented at yet you want More than what was being asked just a year ago?
Seller: It's rare, it's a great bass, it's an investment. It's #3. There won't likely be another one. Yes, I'm looking for more than I paid for it. Up to you. I'm comfortable where I am but would consider a reasonable offer. The case is beat but totally structurally sound.

Oh, I LOVE the 'investment' play...

Dude is shameless and would clearly provide no satisfaction after the fact should you find more undisclosed investment grade issues on arrival. I agree to let him stew with his choices and at least his investment will surely increase in value so he's at no loss.

What do you play for fretless @BigDBass ? A fretless may be in my future so I'm kicking the tires of the idea. Lol.

From the seller
"I've played it maybe two hours. I have several lakland's. The only new dings were the ones sustained when shipped to me."

Hmm

Hmmmm... Yeah.. Right....dings from shipping!???

If I received a bass that dinged up from shipping.. Either the seller or the shipper would have to pay dearly!!!

Plus, if you REALLY get a hankering for some fretless Scheff, just swap the necks with your 44-94 and have at it for a spell!

I did something stupid. And by stupid, I mean long overdue but the timing isn't necessarily the best.

So jealous.. that finish is gorgeous. Let me know if you ever look to sell haha! Awesome grab.

Don’t know if I missed the update. How is your finger healing Doug? Affecting your playing?

Thanks Max!..

Getting better...

Puffed up and was painful for a while... Went to the doc and got some antibiotics... Much better now.

Haven't played since it happened so... Dunno...I need to stay playing again!!!

Appreciate the concern!!..

Hope everyone is doing well with the lockdowns!!!

Anyone opening up?..

We are in MN visiting our new grand daughter.... Interesting up here.. Not 100% open but lots open... And unlike Illinois... No one is wearing masks...

I miss owning a Lakland or two.... I’ll probably have to remedy that sometime soon

Lakland GAS is the best

A freinds band is opening at a club Sunday here in Socal and my band has a tentative one scheduled for Saturday. Depending on if the club owner can open. Tonight is our first rehearsal in almost 3 months. Really looking forward to it.

they are allowing venues open in Cali?
