Lakland Owners Group #69

Sorry it took me so long! There's some small differences between SN 11 and SN 93's neck measurements. #11 has been played A LOT, and had some mods done at Lakland, at some point. It would not surprise me if the neck has been sanded and had tru oil reapplied multiple times. Either way, both are the two best feeling Lakland 4 string necks that I've laid my hands on, and #93 is definitely the easiest of all to get low low action on!

Nice JJ ! Those measurements are close. Aside from the way the finish feel between them, do you feel the difference in thickness when you play them back to back?

Just barely. I’ve always said that #11 had the sleekest neck of any Lakland I’ve played, and now I have the measurements that show it. I’m curious what more modern Lakland necks measure up to.

So....the custom 54 dual J I ordered in late Dec had been delayed due to C19.....Leo called me Friday to tell me it's ready to ship.....I knew I wouldn't get it until this weekend or early next week......then a local TBer buddy (and fellow Lakie lover) saw it on their FB page and sent me a teaser pic.....now the last few days of waiting will be even tougher....chambered, passive/ Chi-sonics, 34" scale, 7 lbs, 12 oz, trans orange over ash/BEM. C'mon home Clementine!!!

I just asked for "trans orange", but it sure looks like Marcus' tint to me. A few years back I had a passive cherry red 55 JJ with Chi-sonics and it had the absolute perfect tone for me.....but she was much heavier than I like and 35".....I had to part with her but couldn't get her sound out of my head......this one checks all my boxes!
