Has anyone ever tried tv Jones pickups in their hollowbody or other Lakland bass?

Has anyone ever tried tv Jones pickups in their hollowbody or other Lakland bass?

I've talked to Carl about a possible build using TV Jones pickups. They sound great in the typical Rickenbacker locations: under the 24th fret harmonic and in the P bass location. But, only the blade ones seem to have a wide enough field to work on a bass with 19mm bridge string spacing. TV Jones were designed primarily for narrow string spacings. And, I would not try to get one anywhere closer to the bridge than the P bass area.

Anyone using D'Addario NYXL on their 55-94? Specifically 45,65,85,105,130

Got my 55-02 yesterday.Was able to set up with ridiculously low action.
One question though - passive mode has much lower volume (like 40% quieter) than active. Is this how they are supposed to be, or there is an issue with mine? My Yamaha TRBX505 has exactly the same output level in passive and active.
