Coil switches are simply A/AB/B for each pickup. Real interesting sounds available, plus the practicality of getting rid of single coil hum if you're in a noisy room. Switch around until you kill the buzz. I'll marvel over this setup for the rest of my life getting new noises out of it. He threw that in as a "gift" without asking me, he knew I would dig it.

Pickups are (maybe the last available?) chi-buckers in MM shells and Hanson LH3 revD preamp.

Hi everyone! I ordered a USA Series 55-69 Tetsuya back in April and I finally got an e-mail from Brian saying that it's nearly completed. I'm sooooooooooo excited to have it in my hands soon. It's been my dream bass for the past 10 years and I'm finally in a position where I could afford it. Tetsuya is my bass idol and I'm just so happy right now

Carl told me that's the way he strings them, he thinks the thicker strings benefit from top loading and GDA couple better through body.

I have almost no experience with string through body options, so I'll follow his advice. Those are roundwounds, and a new offering from Rotosound, it's different alloy than nickle or ss, I thought I'd give them a try.

Haven't soloed the front pickup yet, but JJ had a bass with this exact configuration, so that was my goal, for it to sound like his bass. Comes very close so far!

I see you did the double dip switches so you can choose any pickup configuration!

My Carlo 5 string fretless has the same set up .. Very versatile

Man, my Lakland DJ-4 never goes out of tune. Everyday I pick up to play I go to tune it first and its always dead on. It doesn't matter the weather. Is this typical with Laklands?
