Sounds like your "revised" busier bass part was a hit....or assuming so. [emoji4] [emoji10]

IMO, very subtle difference in the old Bart vs new Bart. Maybe a little more presence and crisper highs in the new Barts., old Bart's are definitely dark. The LH3 vs the New Bart is a different story. The new Barts are tight and well defined, can get growly and aggressive but are balanced. The LH3 is all of that with a little more growl and a more "alive", "3 dimensional" sound. I love the Bart's, but find myself wanting something with the LH3 lately as it gets a tone that is just more satisfying for some mixes. Not sure if I'll buy another 55-01 and put the LH3 and Chisonics in it or another 55-02D with the LH3 setup.

I would say you would LOVE the LH3 and CHIs......from experience

She is very light at just under 8 lbs but does not dive on a strap, and on the knee it's a no-brainer to keep her in position with my right forearm. The finish is far nicer in person. It's matte, per request, and the shiny aluminum knobs and chrome/aluminum pups and other hardware really contrast beautifully. Forget the pickguard for sure. At the moment I have only my crappy Acoustic 20 watt 112 combo to play her through, but the body is nicely resonant unplugged. Through this amp, with limited eq, the alumitones sound deep and need some goosing of mids. I am eager to play it through a real rig in a band setting before deciding whether to leave it passive or add a pre. Regardless, Crush is here to stay! The experiment was such a satisfying success that if I can find another light Skyline 55 or DJ5 I just might try another variant (or deviant, as the case may be). Justin (TBer ModulusAcacia of Justin Kennedy Guitars in Ohio) did a spankin' job of routing for the new pups (and taking as much extra wood as possible in the process) and assembling/setting up the final product and was a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend him.

Yup....that is quite a "stretch"..pun intended....some day....I will challenge myself with an upright

Whew! Caught up! Now need to board my flight to St Louis....NO....not going there to protest......or loot....

Actually driving an hour out for work....then back early tomorrow morning....similar trip to Maitland Florida next week....

I think I have been at O'Hare more then home this year!

Hmmm...now I wonder if the Doude is part of the FBI agents that are being sent...he's a man of mystery...thats how he gets all of those nice Lakies, the strong-arms the Pirracello Bros.;)
