You have NO idea how long I stared at this trying to figure out the weird angle of those cabs before realizing it was, in fact, TWO photos side by side.

Hello !
Does the 5501 and the 5502 have the same neck ? I am not speaking for the quality of woods, but the measurement specs...
I tried a 5594 this past days (I use to play on a 5501) and the neck of the 5594 (2022 model with roasted neck) was smaller and a bit thiner than the neck of the 5501 (I was disapointed by this fact by the way).
Thanks !
I had the same experience with a 44-02 and a 44-94. The neck on the 44-94 was just a bit too thin for me and I ended up selling it. The neck on the 44-02 was slightly beefier and just felt right to me.Yes they do. The 55-01 and the 55-02 (and all Skyline 5ers for what is worth) use the same necks. In many cases they are interchangeable.
Your in-person comparison apparently was with a US 55-94 and that's a different ball game.
But what matters is... You were disappointed. Did you want a thinner neck on your 55-01 or did you want the 55-94 to have a thicker neck?

Yes, although I noticed they didn't actually call it that (maybe for contractual reasons). I assume someone did a special order.Oh man...a new Scheff????
