Today was more like open mic with current WT members plus anyone who is interested. We made sure that new people all got a chance with the mic, bass, drums, etc. If they still want to join, they meet with our WL.Very cool!

I think we picked up a good vocalist, a couple decent drummers and a few electric guitar players. Total on WT will be about 25!
Yes - digital in ears. They work really well, most of the time. Once in awhile they drop off line. Fortunately this has happened only in rehearsal and not during a service. Our tech guys are working on it….Digital in ears?

Got so pumped on switching out the electronics for my 44-64le skyline that I went ahead and switched out the electronics in my 2008 44-60 skyline.

Very unique! Sonically versatile. Plays vey well, like butta. That bass is VERY heavy though.
After picking up Diablo Rojo yesterday, SC doesn’t feel that bad.
I need to play SC and BB again! Time for another BASS HANG!
Sexual Chocolate- built by a Lākland luthier around 1998. Body is cut from one piece of swamp ash. Body shape is what it is… a crazy one of a kind monstrosity reminiscent of something Carl Thompson might create if he was high on psychedelics. Pickguard and cavity covers are cut from purpleheart. Neck is quartersawn maple with birdseye maple fretboard. It originally had the standard Bartolini J/MM pickups and Bart preamp. But, I wanted the latest innovation that Lākland had just announced, at that time. So, I had the then owner ship it straight to Carl at Lākland where he installed 2 Chisonic humbuckers and the (IIRC) 1st gen LH preamp. It’s sound and playability inspired my friend Jeff to have Carl try to replicate it with a lighter piece of ash, and a normal body shape w/ the same pickups and preamp. It comes close, but isn’t the same. So, I sold it to Jeff with the promise that I could get it back someday. The opportunity came and she’s back home.
We’ll do it! And play through the Fender Bassman Pro 300 powering 4 Aguilar cabinets. That will blow the house down!
As much pleasure I had owning it and playing it for the last couple of years, I'm even happier that JJ has her back. Fantastic bass, I'm no longer playing as much as I once did, so it's time to downsize EVERYTHING. SC would have stayed with me to the bitter end, but I always felt like JJ was the true owner! I'm happy she's back with you brother!
