Beautiful... Thanks to BassCentral, they were able to get me a brand new black fretless 55-02 ... The ebony board is beautiful and the bass plays wonderfully... It's taken over from my SR5 as my primary bass... I've been playing it for about a month and it's been fantastic!

Sometimes you gotta equip yourself to be able to pass through the "Fender Filter" in this town, and I still haven't forgiven myself for letting my first JO5 go (this will be my 5th Lakland!). Also, you know me - I get weak in the knees for matching headstocks, so I couldn't pass this one up!

... On friday, I bought a Fiesta Red late '90's Precision off evilBay! Not that I'm into that sort of thing (except the fiesta red part!), but a Precision is sometimes something that you just "need".
That's EXACTLY what I had in mind for this one. Tortoise Shell guard.
They expect the Teal Green Metallic basses to ship late July/Early August. The Inca Silver ones should start showing up in Sept.

It really is shocking! My hair hasn't been short in 6 years!
A couple things motivated that change, though... Mainly, it was just too much hair! It took forever to dry, and I was constantly losing the battle to keep it outta my face. Also, on a phone conversation, one of my customers referred to me simply as "That guy with the pony tail". I can't be "that" guy! I'm totally not "that" guy! I don't want to be known as "that" guy anymore!
So yeah, BIG change.. But it seems to be working thus far!
