LAST CALL - I'll be making my final decision Sunday, October 5th. I'd like to set expectations here - this amp is NOT for gigging. It is strictly a practice amp. I just had the speaker upgraded as I didn't like the sound of the Celestion that was in it. It's better, but it can only be pushed so far.
That said . . . . I'd like to pay it forward with a little used Jay Turser Classic 30b bass practice amp. It is ideal for the person who wants to learn to play the bass and needs an amp that won't tick off the parents or the neighbors, but still allows the player to hear themselves!
I'd like to hear from my fellow TBers if you know of a someone in need. I don't want this to go to somebody who can afford it - that's not the point of my offer - so please don't respond with an "I'll take it!" Rather, I'd like to hear who you think deserves it and why. It will then be solely up to me to decide who to send it to, with my decision being final.
The amp works as it should. BTW - I think it sounds much better with a 4 string passive bass. An active bass and low B string seem to overwhelm the little bugger, so keep that in consideration when nominating your deserving person.
It's in beautiful condition with one small ding or two on the front of the wood and a tolex ding on the back - both not that noticeable unless you were scrutinizing to buy it - and you're not!
