Latest G&L Arrivals

With so many L-1000's arriving lately, this L-2000 made me look twice when I first opened it! LOL I was like "what's with the extra pickup?!?". This is a GORGEOUS fretless in G&L's Honey color.

I had a JB-2 a few years ago that was Honey. It was a really nice bass but I sold it to satisfy some other gas. I think the body was Alder though (it was hard to tell b/c the grain was like this one and not the tight ash grain that I usually see).

Back in the day I had an L2500 and an L2000 (unlined ebony) both in Honey on ash bodies. Beautiful basses. Also had an L2000 in Blueburst with maple board.

They were going to be my "keeper" basses. Bought locally, played and sounded great.

Then I got online and found out I "needed" a pair of Ken Smiths. That's how it all began. Aside from trying a lot of nice gear and meeting some amazing people, I would have been way better off - mentally and financially - if I had stuck with them.

Here's a killer new fretless SB-1! Ash body under the new-ish Whiskey finish, tort guard and an unlined Rosewood board. Killer tone and good looks on this one!

This bass was a special order, but my customer had to back out at the last minute. He forfeited his deposit, and I'm happy to apply that towards your purchase of this bass! PM or call for details.

Here's a new one on me from G&L. This is an LB-100 in Fullerton Red, but it's got the "Satin Frost" treatment on the body which I'd never seen before. I really dig it, especially on these more pastel sort of Fender colors (which aren't really my thing usually). I could see this looking great on Sonic or Himalayan Blue, or maybe Seafoam Green...

Anyone else out there love or hate the Satin Frost? I'm taking the temperature of the room, so to speak. I could see ordering one or two like this for stock...

Does the satin frost feel different?

btw if you are ordering for stock, I think a ruby red lb-100 with tort guard, rosewood, and matching headstock would be pretty awesome (and I know someone who might be very interested in it in about 6 months). Just sayin'...
