I bought my black Paranormal Rascal Bass a little over a month ago duing a EC pop up sale that had less than 12 hours to go for $349. I'm thouroughly enjoying it with D'Addario Chrome flat medium scale strings on it and consider it one of the best sounding and easist playing basses I've ever ever owned.
It is a bit heavy but it balances perfecty and I'm getting used to it.

Stumbled across this bass and I'm curious.
Always open to something a bit different tone wise. New original band doing mix of alt rock/electronica/new wave.
Anyone know if this bass can provide good options for ODs/mild break up/growl?
Are they good enough quality for enjoyable playing?

They have a touch of neck dive.
They are as long overall as a regular P bass but the string scale is 30” (you’ll want medium scale as short scale strings are too short through the body)
The neck is glossy (I hit mine with some 1000 grit paper to just knock off the gloss on the back of the neck.
The pickups are the highest output on any passive bass I’ve played. You may not need any boost to get grit.
The neck pickup sounds like a typical mudbucker. Deep and not much else. Can be very useful.
The bridge pickup has some attitude and is my favorite.
Both together give a bit of scoop.
This has very vintage sounds. It does not have a modern jazz bass snarl or snap sound. It’s comfortable to play but if you want a modern sound this is not it. It’s comfy to slap but doesn’t have the super zingy highs for that.
Vintage looks and vintage sound. Tons of fun for what it is going for. Pickups have plenty of output to feed a drive. Best if you have an input gain or buffer if you want squeaky clean.

It was the sound at the start of this demo that piqued my interest.
Would you say this is a typical cleanish tone? (ampeg preamp/pedal set up explained in description).

It can get cleaner than that but it all depends on your particular gain staging.

Well, they made it in CAR as a web exclusive. Let me tell you, the pictures absolutely do NOT do this color justice. It looks WAY better in person than in any photos I have seen of this color. It is truly stunning! The pickguard is blah in my opinion, but that is easily replaced. I think a white pearl guard is what this baby is screaming for. I also considered black pearl and tort, but a candy apple red looks really slick with the white pearl, so as soon as one becomes available, that's what she's going to get.

Yeah, that's where I'm going to be getting one from. The seller doesn't have any in stock right now, though. I reached out and he said his shipment of white pearl material is arriving this week. Told me to check back around the end of the week.
I guess I misunderstood! That CAR is so sharp and I was tempted but I just love that green. Either way they're awesome basses. I'm planning a little upgrade to mine this weekend, hopefully...
I'm not a big fan of green, but must admit it looks WAY better with that white pearl pickguard on it! I don't want another black bass. Pink was NOT an option for me. But Candy Apple Red? Holy smokes, this color is HOT.

Lollipop tuners from hipshot, if I bought the right adapters

The shell pink and candy apple red are back on sale through Fender. I'd been waiting for a another price drop and just pulled the trigger on the shell pink (one of my all time favorite colors). Having heard almost nothing but great things about these I had to give it a shot. I'd been considering something a little different for a new bass, and since my main is a G&L L-2000 and I already have a P, this seems to fit the bill nicely. Plus I'm poor. This will also be my first short scale instrument.
You chose a good one! Solid bet you're really going to dig it, like you said almost all the feedback on these has been great. Getting it on sale is a bonus 
Well it was, and it wasn't... The ferrules I got I got were slightly still too big for the tuner posts. I used them anyway since they're a little bit better compared to what the stock was doing but there was still millimeter or two of play around the posts, the result being that they're slightly tilted. I'm not super happy about that but I'll fix it down the road so long is it doesn't cause any issues. At the moment seems like playability is fine, tuning is fine. Other than the fact that the Hipshot tuners are noticeably more smooth than the stock it really is just a cosmetic change.

Yeah, as long as everything is correct, a tuner swap is pretty quick. Just put some Ultra Lites on a bass kit build I did a year ago that was suffering from horrible neck dive. The Hipshot Ultra Lites did the trick. Whole swap took me about 20 minutes as it was all pretty straightforward. Sounds like yours was a little more extra, but you got it done. Looks great!
I just installed some 1/2” Hipshot ultralights and used the 18mm spacers (23/32”) from Hipshot and they fit perfectly. Hipshot sells spacers for both the USA and lic versions of their tuners $4 each. Not a fan of the y keys vs clover but they were cheap and used, no neck dive and so much smoother! Now to find a pearl pickguard for her.
