I saw this on a UK bass site, and didn't see anything similar here. I'm floored by how good this looks, so I thought I'd share.

I have some early sixties Ampeg cabinets, and LED lighting would not look appropriate.

I am working on a micro-controller based kerosene lamp illumination system for them.

I am thinking about installing sound reactive LED lighting on the inside perimeter lip just behind the metal grill of my two Hartke Bass cabs. I am always stuck in the back with poor lighting...lol!

With so many kits out there im surprised you don't more lighted cabs. Its like tortoise pick guards. Im pretty sure the lighting makes things sound better

In the arts, audio and visual, we have the choice to incorporate both or not.....it depends on what we like and how we define our individual aspects of performance. Some like the sound side, others like the visual side and some like varying degrees of both. Every aspect of performance is based on the individual tastes of the performer and how they wish to play, what they want to use to play, and how they want to express it to the audience. SMT technology solves the rattle problem as does modern silicone adhesive. Each artist has their performance style and chooses what equipment to use and how to use it and that is ok. Wonder how this would look behind a silverface Fender grillecloth - maybe too subtle. Also wonder the easiest way to power stuff like this. 12V (for cars) gets all the love with LED items, esp those that are sound reactive; I'd hope for either 9V or just plain mains power.

I was wondering the same thing. I don’t know that it’d be noticeable enough to bother with on my Fender Neo cabs....
