I saw this on a UK bass site, and didn't see anything similar here. I'm floored by how good this looks, so I thought I'd share.

Exact ones I have. 2 strips of LED.
I bought 2 kits from Frys Electronics for $35 each kit.
Each strip is a little under 12 inches.
Each strip has back sided tape ready for installation.
One power supply and one converter box with remote wire.
One remote control.

I foresee an arduino attached to the tuner out that triggers the lights via a solid state relay...

You could go the whole hog and use DMX and then make it part of a light show. Or combine both ideas and choose the light colours via DMX some of the time, but then set it to take the colours cues from the tuner at other times, e.g. for a moody, slow, bass-driven intro to a song.

Hey,

Im currently designing a concept valve amp/bass speaker for a uni project to take to market. its in early stages of development but will be constructed of plexi glass and lit with colour strips. Im looking for market feedback regarding interest in the product.
The spec shows the sizes and dimensions, the angle on the face to project the sound and some possible options.
The speakers selected were Eminence, Fane, Celestion.
The unit will come with wheels and an extention to pull it (making it portable).
Costing of the products would be - 12" setup, around £600. 15" setup, around £700. 4 x 10" setup, around £1000.
I also attached a picture to show an example of how the design should look.

It looks cool.

Use a good quality power supply. Some of them are known to throw off high frequency noise, even those that claim to meet the regulatory standards.

If your amp starts picking up strange sounds, look at the LED power supply.

Playing with the thought of installation inside a front ported cab to light a dark stage directly in front of that cab...also part of a light show with fog machines, etc.

I realize that it would alter interior volumes dimensions when it comes to t/s parameters and such...

Thinking out loud, a little...
