Beautiful collection of Birds, but seeing that Washburn AB takes me back lol. I had the black version and longed after the natural one.

I never knew they made a black finish until recently, I think it's really a beauty! That's a super fun bass, I've used it live for some of our songs, nice change of pace!

Do you only play or mostly play one style of bass? This can be as little as two or more . (Depending on the size of your collection). Number of stings doesn't count. For instance, I only play 5 strings, I only play 6 strings, ect.

Im more interested in seeing like a collection of Danelectros, Rics, Spectors, Thundebirds, Yamaha BB's, etc.

I suspect that the most responses will be Fender Precisions and Jazz basses. So let me see those basses that stole your heart , fit your hands like a glove, and put a smile on your face.

Never heard of this brand before. I almost thought they were Aria or BC Rich. 70's vintage? Are these made in Japan?

Late 70's - early 80's from the Matsumoku factory in Japan. Same as Aria so its correct to see a resemblance

Is two Big Al's a collection? Either way, I like EBMM necks, the sounds they make and gravitate towards those basses these days.

My current Musicman collection is the opposite of yours - two Stingrays and one Big Al. Well, CURRENTLY the opposite of yours. I have a deep love of Stingrays but, having just gotten the Big Al and had an opportunity to play it live, I'm developing a desire for another Musicman. Maybe a Bongo?

When I get home from work tonight I'll post a family picture.

Not in order - the close-up shot is of the prototype for the Birdsong Cortofusion/Fusion (2006) - my first Birdsong. The shot in the mask and the shot in the Dr Who shirt are both of my 2nd Birdsong (2007). The last picture (the fretless with the Delano Xtender pickup) is my 3rd Birdsong (2015). The fretted bass with the p-bass pickup is my latest (2020). The poplar-bodied one with the different body shape and hole routed is "Richard the Test Bass", the old Birdsong shop R&D bass that was tortured for years to try out new ideas before coming to live with me fall of 2014.

So 5 Birdsongs, four of whic (more or less) have the same body shape.
