i love agony column... got the god,guns,guts demo tape here from way back..Love the song cars,sex,violence.....I always thought the singer had one of the most unique metal voices of the time. Forget his name, but one of those old videos it looks like the same bass? That thing could certainly be good as a weapon or mosh-pit anger management control..lol
Wow. Honored to be remembered. Yes that is the same bass. There is only this one. Richie is the singer's name. I have been known as Crow my entire life. Cars Sex and Violence was also one of my favorite songs we wrote.
Just for you HardNHeavy. This was compiled by Dave Prewitt from several shows back then.
No shenanigans here. I see what happened. It's a regular PJ Explorer that has had its body pulled out of shape by the gravitational force of the mighty Peavey CS-800 close by. Nothing more.
Nice! You still rocking old school cs800! I still have my cs400 along with my 80's rack which I like . The cs's at this point were are a bit on the heavy side.

The bass in question doesn't have a string tree on headstock, if that matters or not, it's obviously been thru the depths of hell and back and still plays.

That particular CS800 is one of the old monitor amps from Emo's. There used to be two in that rack. I'm actually rocking the IPR300 in that rack with my Ashdown Entwhistle RPM-1 that is sitting on the SVT cab. But I really have no use for such power right now. That rack used to power two SVT cabs and double that stack of speakers on the right. Now I use that RM800 EVO to power either the two 15s and 18 or the 8x10 for a more reasonable trimmed down club rig.

Yeah we didn't think it needed a string tree. Apparently it hasn't ever been an issue. It's definitely been rode hard.
I'm just amazed and grateful to be remembered. I was very proud of what we did in Agony Column. We were about to explode when some real life stuff hindered that. It was definitely odd being probably the only fretless player in that scene. Loved the look on folks faces when I busted out that bass and then they realized I was playing really loud as hell jazz at them. Was fun to confuse em with Jaco and Ornette Coleman riffs between songs.The tone of that bass is pure joy.

It's what was available 33 years ago. Seymour Duncan actives. The original ones with the little buttons on em. I had to always carry a spare bridge pickup because my sweat would get in those little buttons and kill em. I started globbing rtv over the buttons to make em last longer. If I had it to do again I'd have gone jazz bass on the neck position as well.
