Yep. I was planning on playing it at church. After seeing it in person, and playing it, there was no way. I would have been embarrassed to walk in my church with it. Oh, and the intonation on the E string is almost a half step off from the other strings. And the position markers(nails!!!) are only approximately in the right place. The pickup rout looks like it was cut out with a dull butter knife, or a chainsaw.

But the bass sounds very good. I mean very, very good.

Ok, its been manifested. The tracking number will show as invalid until UPS picks it up this afternoon, just FYI. After they scan it initially on pickup, tracking number will work. It was 15.7 lbs in the box and shipping cost with UPS was $12.03. That may not be the rates you get as an individual, but thats what my company pays.

Also, please forgive the box its in hehe. The warehouse threw away the box it came in, so I had to build a box out of two separate ones. It doesnt look pretty, but the bass doesnt move around in it and it fits really nicely so I think it will be fine. Its also in a gig bag that it came to me in. Not to mention its built like a tank, so I think even if UPS threw it all the way to california, it would be fine hehe. It is insurred for up to $100, which I know isnt the cost of the bass.

Tracking number to Pierce is 1ZE545100364210774, UPS ground.

I canned the corian bridge on my wishbass and I use the bridge blocks out of an independent bridge system that I picked up for $15 on ebay. Now I can adjust the intonation on each string individually as well as string height and the best part, no drilling or screwing, either. The sound is the same (sweet). I don't much care for those metal markers, either, but mine are pretty darn close, now (I rely heavily on my ear anyway).

I wouldn't worry about laughs. Let the sound and the playing speak. Especially in church....it's not about showing off...it's about praise and worship...right? I sure hope so.
