Just installed the pickups and about to start carving the nut.

It's really great! I need to set it up a little bit (like almost every new bass). He's coming out with a new short-scale model to replace the coquett though. If could I would get another one, but fretted. The craftsmanship is phenomenal, and I really enjoy his pickup and tone switching system. It sounds great through my SB-12.

op does indeed have an lb76, there are calling the new guitars and basses by the parent company "Keisel" now, so that's what mine says on the headstock. I agree also, figured walnut, specifically flame figured, is my favorite wood for guitars, and collectible firearms stocks, when I order a bass, or a rifle, it's figured walnut.

Chambered walnut core with flame maple top on this one. The bass is fairly heavy even with the chambers - almost 11 pounds, but I love the look.

Fingerboard is bocote and neck shaft is flame maple. The bridge pickup is in the 70's position and the middle is about half an inch away from the bridge. Middle has a darker wind, so they sound a lot different. Middle is a good single pickup growling sound. Controls are vol, blend, hi mid/low mid, treble/bass. One toggle is for Audere Pro Z mode and the other is a 3 way to switch between the two bridge pickups.

Body wings are Swamp Ash.

they are finished with Kiesel/Carvin's AAT/Antique Ash Treatment. No color added. Just AAT, with clear gloss.

*I assume that the general process for AAT, is some sort of black stain, which they then partially sand away. But they have never talked about the process. You can also get "Summer Ash Treatment", which is a reddish brown stain.
