FYI.....I bought this through the Bass Place in AZ....great place!
I'm not really a fan of black basses, which is odd considering I've been wearing mostly black for several decades. Perhaps it's because I grew up when sunbursts were the order of the day. At any rate the only two I have are a Fender Precision Lyte in Montego Black, which isn't really black but more a dark charcoal metallic. and a Lightwave Hybred that is a real piano black.

About 7 years ago. She doesn't go out on gigs very often. Mainly use for when I need that Rickenbacker sound on a recording. I bought that bass used in 1982. My first good bass.
Once you've had black, you'll never go back...

Weight-wise this one could function as a boat anchor but it plays really nicely with some great tones to boot. Comfortable and well balanced too. I'm not letting go of it! It's an early 80's Ibanez Roadstar.
