So this 68 Tele was pretty average looking in this Firemist Gold refinish. It was also a little heavy, around the 9lb mark.

I'd prefer a solid black 'guard, black control plate and black neckplate and black neck and pickup screws. I replaced the chromed pickguard screws with black and the black knobs with chrome skirted knobs but I'm not sure about them yet.
For the pickguard, take a black marker to it around the white edge. That's what I did. Works like a charm.
