Nice RIC... I bought a 4001 Fireglo when I turned 16 (many years ago)- served me well for 35 years! (Playing RUSH- Cinderella Man- BTW)

The only things that aren’t black are the headstock logo (I wanted to make sure no one mistook it for a Fender despite the Allparts licensed neck), the side markers (being able to see those clearly was kinda the point), and the pole pieces on the pups (thought about putting some paint on them, decided against it; hardly seemed worth it for simple aesthetics). The pickup mount screws are currently chrome, but the black replacement screws just showed up today, so....

This was the bass that I always wanted and was never able to find, without paying the price of a used car for a custom shop build. Still a bit of tweaking to do, but so far it’s exceeded my expectations.

A Black Sharpie would easily take care of the pole pieces. ;)

Thank you! That was done by Tony at Pickguardian.

The color is White Pearl, and the Invalid Link Removed is Acrylic.

Tony does amazing work and I love the larger, looser swirls of the acrylic material, rather than the more common tightly-packed patterns you typically see on pearloid guards.

Only bass I have made in India

Not a blemish I can find on it. Finish is first rate. Looks like Wilkinson hardware all around which I’m guessing is MIC.
Controls all check out with smooth operation and no crackling or static.

Neck is thin and feels great though I’d rather have a satin finish on the back of the neck than the gloss finish.

Worth every penny or shilling

Can you pick out my special request item? Think Fender MIA GL and you should be able to figure it out

1.65” width at nut and 0.75” thick neck at 1st fret. Thin Satin finish on back of neck. This is a nice fast neck without the sandpaper or steel wool routine.

Dean P and J were on sale there. I have no experience with Dean brand and never seen one like these. Are they close to Squiers or something else?
