Sweet Basses ! Love that Trippin' Tele and that's a Sick Sixx. Awesome pinstripe job. I've been going back and forth between the Sixx, the Ultra or a Epi TBird. Is the Sixx very Neck heavy ?
Thanks
what’s the ultra? The UltraCure bass vi Smith model?
the sixx came up in a trade deal, if I was spending munny, I think I would have gone with the Simon Gallup model, but the sixx is a very nice bass. I’m not sure if it’s neck heavy, as I always put the strap over the body on my Many goofy shape basses
The neck thru Epi birds are quite nice AND a lot less money! I got mine used with a hardcase for very little money... I can’t post it here because it’s hot pink, and fretless... but it’s in the fretless thunderbird thread...
damn, I think I like that better than the sixx.... bridge placement is much nicer....
Here are a couple of mine. One is an EBMM Caprice:

Another is an Epiphone Blackbird I put EMG's in and a Hipshot bridge on:

Not a super close pic but you get the idea.
What EMG's did you put in your Blackbird ?
Thanks

Top to bottom: Yamaha BB734a, SBMM Ray34 Ash, Sire M2.
I have a black Ibanez GSR200 as well but that's at the office, which I haven't seen in months and probably won't see for a few more.
