Let's see those beautiful Black Basses

I wish I could say they were mine, but in truth I was only able to kiss these recent three goodbye when the postman came to pick them up ㅠㅡㅜ (top to bottom) for Matt Clohesy, Al Berry, and Jonny Good.

Can we get a close up of that bass please?! What kind of pickup is that? How does it sound?
It had a vintage Gretsch blade pickup, which had a throaty tone with an upper mid bump. Really cut thru on any stage. Unfortunately it recently went belly up. Replaced it with a TV Jones ThunderBlade (neck), same as I use in my avatar bass. It has a tight round commanding low end, never feeling muddy, with shimmering highs. And both are accentuated when digging in.

So, so, so...killer! Man, what a cool instrument, so in love... ok, I'll stop... But seriously, that is a sweet looking bass!
Thanks!
Whatever you're offering, I'll double it!
Sorry, this rig ain't going anywhere.:smug:
Cool bass and I want that amp!
Thanks! This cab, sporting EV Pros is the loudest, tightest cab I've ever played. The GK deliveres the punch with tons of headroom to spare. But the best is seeing the smiles on the faces of my band mates when they see the blonde on stage.:smug:
