Yes it is, I have a couple rigs that never gig.Is it a rig if it never has been to a gig?
Haha. I agree. My back is good with the Mesa D800+ and SW112 it has to lug every week. But man it's awesome to see what everyone plays through. So many of these I'd love to play through and tweak some knobs.Well, I have TWO possible conclusions reading through this thread -
LOTSA nice rigs there, though!
- I am lazy and don't want to carry much weight - OR-
- There are a bunch of people out there with a MUCH stronger back than mine!

Yeah, I like my TH500 and my barefaced BTII. Lightest rig I have ever owned. I am going to look into another amp soon as I get the BF paid for because I want a little more power. I want to check out Demeter, Darkglass and Mesa. I will have to see prices and what is available once I get the cash.Well, I have TWO possible conclusions reading through this thread -

Man, those basses... My keyboard gets drenched in drool every time. This is my big rig, mostly for outdoor festivals. Loud enough to leave bruises.

But 99% of my gigs are powered by this mini monster.

Thanks! Played them last night. I love 'em. Got lots of sweat equity in them, my dad made the bridges and control plates, and they have the added benefit of sounding amazing. The black bass [Keef], tuned 1/2 step down and sporting a vintage Gretsch ThunerTron, has a upper mid grind that cuts through any live situation. The semi hollow [Frank], with the TV Jones ThunderBlade, has a rounder bouncier low end that never gets muddy. They make the perfect duo when 2 basses are needed.Man, those basses... JBL SRX 818SP 18" sub
JBL SRX 812P 12" top
Pod XT Live for Bass Synth sounds or chorus
Mostly use a late 90's ART Tube Comp Direct to FOH.
Small shows..... just the 12"
Big shows..... the stack!
Show's with my band..... IEM (in ear monitors) and I go direct to FOH.

This has been my loud rig lately. Just using one side of the power amp, driving it with a barbershop. Its amazing.

Now that's a unique rig, I remember those cabs very well, sound killer.
Very cool!!!!
Wow! If you bring both, would you be willing to give out free earplugs at the door?Invalid Link Removed
I typically just use the 810, but I've been egging the guitarists on in my bands to get more cabinets so I can justify bringing both!
