I'm more than just a little pissed off at her at the moment. We had Thunderstorms all night long and she let me get a total of about 3 hours sleep last night. The thing that really cheeses me off is that I just know she's in my recliner sleeping like a baby right now.

Lol, perhaps but using my forethought or well lack thereof I find it highly unlikely considering guns require a magazine at least one chambered round of ammunition, they both require a grip safety to be depressed simultaneously with the 4 Lbs. of trigger pull.
Not to mention they'd need to be unholstered.

I'd be willing to try and find out, I'd bet my life that it wouldn't happen. But I'll just have to assume, it's evident that I've already been far too shocking here, with the highly risky situations I have created.

The only reason I go over to my exes house is so I can see my cats. I miss them. The smallest one LOVES to just lay in my lap and purr.

This is my boy, Ranger. He's a beagle-pointer mix we rescued from a local shelter last November. We have discovered that he has a fetish for stuffed animals. He doesn't rip them apart, but likes to just gently chew on them. My youngest daughter gave up a few of her collection for him to play with. Ranger is one of the smartest dogs I've ever been around.

This is Mommy and Daddy's little girl, a Papillon named Kya. She loves everyone in the family, and is loved in return, but Mommy is the Alpha Male. She sleeps with us at night, she loves getting treats, but if someone comes to the door she becomes the Canine Alarm System. We've had her for 11 years now, so she's not as spry as she once was, but she's still in good health. She's definitely a little Princess!

My guns are unloaded unless directly attached to my side holster.
If my guns come off of my belt they are immediately unloaded, checked, and checked again one loaded magazine remains in my pocket , the rest go into one of 3 small gun safes I have around the house.

Riding around with a loaded (unsecured) rifle period is nuts, riding around with a loaded rifle aimed at yourself is just plain stupid, rising around with a loaded rifle, aimed at yourself, with a easily excitable dog crawling around the cab is and should be grounds to have your head examined.

The above stuff goes for the duck hunter as well, laying your rifle down loaded and then walking into the direct line of fire is a practice highly advised against in any firearm safety training. If your going to enter the "hot zone" you unload check the chamber and leave the action open to assure no accidental discharge can take place.

Basically a handful of things I myself would never do.

Not even remotely comparable to my above picture.

No I really really want you to explain this to me, school me if you will.
I could use the education apparently and you never know maybe just maybe you will be the reason an innocent life was spared.

I mean honestly your pretty hell bent on my picture being so absolutely mind blowing and shockingly dangerous. Your right I don't get it.

I want to hear your logical reasoning behind your reaction to the pic, I promise if you can come up with even one realistic reason or example I'll end it there and say I was wrong.

And keep in mind these guns had just spent literally 3-1/2 hours completely disassembled into as many separate pieces as possible as I had just finished cleaning them.
So if your gonna go for the extreme reach of saying every gun should be treated as if it loaded while I wholeheartedly agree this was not even a remote possibility.
The guns are unloaded, strapped into a secure holster which covers the entire firing mechanism and the dog obeys command better than my own kids, plus he's in a fenced in yard with a 6 foot tall fence on all sides.

I'm not trying to argue here I'm seriously curious what danger your suggesting was there?
It's an honest question, and after your remark I feel it deserves at least some kind of explanation.
But you owe me nothing and your welcome to think if me as an overly reckless, irrisponsible gun owner that is a danger to myself my dog and my community. You are welcome to be appalled just as I should be that you are a bit of an overreactive person.

Here he is on the day we brought him home. His name comes from one of my kids. I took them with me all over Southeast Michigan visiting an ungodly number of breeders. One of them said "finding this dog is like Finding Nemo"

Honestly Strat-mangler I do get where your coming from, I really do however I'm confident in my overly cautious methods of firearm safety to the point that I felt there was no immediate danger, and I still feel that way.

I assure you that every ounce of forethought and safety was exercised before the picture was taken. This was not a Spur of the moment type pic.
This is not something I do on a normal basis and not something I would do in front of my son, for obvious reasons.
It is because of that and ONLY that I agree with you, however all of the factors that would have made this a dangerous situation were either non existent or eliminated before hand.

I do know where your thought process is and agree that yes guns are not toys, every gun is loaded all of the time. But please try to consider the possibility that I did have enough sense and consideration to assure the photo could be taken safely and in a controlled environment.

Now if it makes you feel better I promise I'll never do it again, hell I'll even take the pic down when I get home if it makes you feel better.
