Let's see your burst basses...

My only burst (currently in classifieds):

Nice.
How is it?
Don't they have a green burst version too?
I really like it. Flat and comfy neck and fretboard, pretty good EQ and pickups, it's about 8.4lbs and has pretty much any feature one could want sans a series/parallel switch.

I'm pretty sure they have a green burst, though I don't know if it's in the 5 string. Originally they sent me the wrong bass and it was an amber blue burst 4 string, so yellow in the middle to dark blue on the edges. It looks good too but I like the purple more.

Ibanez has a cool green to blue burst on the SR400 right now, but that's an extra $200 CAD over the Jackson for a bass that IMO is a little less comfy.

Might not be obvious, but this is a burst finish.

Wondering how that Hercules stand is treating you?
The plastic in clamp cracked, blew apart-- crapped the bed-- also the retention system on the "U" neck holder crapped out too -- gears do not work properly...
So, it still holds one of my basses, but tenderly...
Also, the plastic on it developed a weird, gross sticky surface...
Did not go back to Hercules for my new hanging stands...
For the price, I thought I would be getting better, but that seems to be the trend today -- less for your buck!?
Just wondering...
Maybe this should be a new thread!

Bass Bliss -- a 2004 Michael Kelly Dragon fly, ( purchased new)
Lying post coitus with a 2006 (I believe ) Dean B2 (Brian Bromberg model) now the light green die, I was told here, was originally the transparent blue ( I've looked hard into the body, can't really find any remnant blue or blue split he's -- even the head stock is consistent with green dye, not splotches of blue?????)

Some very fine examples here ... Hope they play n sound as nicely as they look!!!
My contribution, which I hope uploads is a yellow transparent 2004 Michael Kelly Dragonfly, (purchased new) with original bronze strings ( keeping the Funk, per J. Jameson, who never changed his strings!)
Bumping bodies with the Dragonfly is a 2006 Dean B2(Brian Bromberg Signature model, before he moved of to several other manufacturers to make his signature model, which I think I understand why, but that for another thread) purchased used through a TB member this spring... The transparent green color, as I have been told by another TB member, was actually the transparent blue. I put the body under a bright reading lamp, and only then could find, deep in the maple flame, blue pigment. The fade of the blue dye is pretty even over all -- no splotchy spots, but there is a bit more blue around the tuning pegs, knobs and bridge -- again under the reading light... So, I guess I got a custom finish courtesy of father time and sun... I would be.interested if anyone has come across this...
BUT-- the wood grain flame comes through!!
And, unplugged, has a great tone and sustain ( electronics need some work -- pots n wiring... A former owner dropped in new DiMarzio jazz pups, not sure if he replaced the preamp, can't find any manufacture name -- yet --though, there is a handwritten name/number)
Hope this adds to the impressive collection, and keeps the thread going!

Tbh, we've only been using these for 5 or 6 years now (including wall hangers) and luckily no problems like what you mentioned . I do know there are at least 2 different types of the Hercules stands, too. I like the first version better.
