Those are great! I like the dinky J shape. I had a 4 string version 15 years ago, but learned that I don´t like modern C shaped necks. The 5-strings has a slight asymmetric neck shape right?

My most recent parts bass. 2023 Vintera Mustang body, with JMJ everything else. Why? In 1967 I had a daphne blue Mustang. The other guitar player had a Sunburst Jaguar and the bass player had a Sunburst Precision bass. I was 14. I hated that Mustang. But I love the feel and sound of the JMJ. (And I love sunburst) So...

Prettiest JP-90 that I've ever seen.

I remember when you couldn't give these away. I loved mine, but have never been a fan of black basses (which mine was [and having too many PJ's]). Sold it for 200 bucks (paid 140). IF this were mine at the time... I'd still have it.

Guess I need a thread update, I did indeed get a custom gold pickguard and swapped for metal knobs and Nordstrand pickups with black covers. The makeover was one of my favorites I've done to a bass!

Still gets plenty of play!

It looks way, way better with the pickup covers and the knobs changed.
The tort guard was fine, but the new one looks good too.
