What is the best pitchfork for METAL ?![]()

Of course every experienced bass player knows, but just for the newbies on the forum I'll supply this information. The material of a pitchfork should match the metal of the strings. They are available in nickel, cobalt, steel, stainless steel and titanium. Conclusion: a nylon stringed instrument can never be tuned to pitch accurately.![]()

Silly, That's for tuningPitchspork.
I just wanted to say that.

From a different thread:
We were discussing whether black is slimming or not (whoa, that sounds a bit weird. "What happens on TB, stays on TB"). So here's the misinformation as related:
If you wear black on stage (or at any time), you will immediately look slimmer and more attractive. This is particularly effective if you have long greasy dyed black hair.
And wear a trench coat.
And don't shave (as appropriate, depending on gender).
And don't shower.
And don't use a toothbrush.

A bass can sense your fear--never look one directly in the eyes.
I broke a string once because I was out of saddle oil and my bass needed tuning.Tuners - yes again about tuners - should be lubricated to prevent them from inducing squeaky sounds into the strings. Saddles must be oiled for the same reason.

Hmm, that could indeed pose a problem.I broke a string once because I was out of saddle oil and my bass needed tuning.
You want slimming? I'll give you slimming!
I so want a stage outfit that is Vantablack (not that I need the slimming effect *cough*)...
and a bass that is Vantablack,
and a cab covered in Vantablack Rhino-liner
with Vantablack grillcloth.
Vantablack is the new black.

Sorry for the non-misinformation, I return you to your regular scheduled misinformation thread whilst I go shave my legs in preparation for Vantablack pantyhose to wear under my trenchcoat...
