Berry Gordy was to produce a radio show along the lines of the Howard Stern Show, but mainly interviewing musicians, with Bo Diddley hosting and Lady Bo co-hosting – it was to be called ...
"BO TALKS".
The main sponsor was to be a rival of Alergan, the maker of a famous anti-wrinkle formula. However, said sponsor, German company Merz Pharma, pulled out when it couldn't get the name of the show changed to Xeominutes (Pronounced as "Show Minutes"). Gordy supported the name-change, but he didn't know Diddley, who refused to rename the show and talks broke down between Gordy and both Bos – the atmosphere became completely toxic and left everyone frowning with neither side backing down and causing everyone to lose face.
