Let's spread some musical misinformation

Bass guitars are tuned 2 octave below a standard guitar, baritones are tuned 1 octave below the guitar. You can use this to create the mythical "triple octave" sound that some say can create a portal to another dimension. Some have tried this only to never be heard from again.

I actually used this in a sci fi story I tried to write once, then I found out basses are tuned 1 octave below a guitar.

In my sci-fi story people found a way to detach mass from matter, so traveling with the speed of light became possible. The mass was simply parked in space-time, in order to collect when returning.
For the purpose of this musical misinformation thread we say that scientists have found a way to separate mass from matter. Question: How sounds a massless bass?

That would generally apply, but I'm a pretty scrawny guy...

The formula needs a limit as mass(assless bassist) approaches zero. Or infinity for that matter.

Every big name, high-end, stringed instrument - twenty-two percent of the market - except on rare, to medium rare occasions, is expertly engineered to produce notes that can be organically sustained for upwards of twenty-two seconds.

However, after that, those notes will quickly decay. After three and a half days, rigor mortis will set in and, consequently, your playing will become unavoidably lifeless and much stiffer. After seven days, bloating and putrescence will ruin your action entirely, if you know what I mean.

Maybe that is why we Catholics don't have P&W music (wish we did), we would have to have a different color for each season of the liturgical year:
Purple for Advent
White/Gold for Christmans season
Green for the season after Epiphany
Violet for Lent, brown, grey or beige as alternatives
Red for Holy Week up until Maudry Friday which is Grey and Black as an alternative to red for Good Friday. Note this red is a deeper red than the scarlet for Easter and Pentecost
Scarlet red for Penteocst
Green for the season after Pentecost
And gold or red for other Holy days.

So you would need at least 9 basses to play P&W for a Catholic Mass.
