Let's spread some musical misinformation

The oxygen in their spaceship was mixed with helium to keep the vessel as light as possible.
This is very true. In fact if you listen carefully you can hear Geddy's voice drastically distorted by breathing the helium for so long.

I know this for a fact because this guy talked about it.

The US government sent a census to all bass players in the United States to determine why some bass players play with a pick and the findings were stragging 85.7% of the bass players who played with a pick were loners and 96.8% were failed guitarist wow just wow! In addition a side note: the bass players who played fingerstyle were happily married with great jobs and own their own homes

Cable diameter is more important than you may think. If the cable connecting an electric guitar or bass to the amp is thinner than 1/4", the electrons can't travel freely. The cable will be completely filled with electrons, which will eventually burst out into the amp. This cycle will repeat itself as long as electrons are being pushed into the cable. This causes an oscillating effect which resembles a vibrato. Manufacturers of cheap pedals make use of this phenomenon to simulate a vibrato effect. Length and diameter of the cable determine the frequency of the effect.

This is so true. here's a few of my favorite cables.

Likewise, most people don't know that Right Angle instrument cables like these...
should only be used on right handed basses.
Left handed players should use Left Angle instrument cables, which look like this...

Using the wrong cable on your bass can create phase cancellation and ruin your sound.
This cable converts a left handed guitar cable into a right handed guitar cable. (Use at your own risk).

^ Plus, the angle of the plug should be smooth, otherwise electrons will bounce backward and destroy the pickup.
Worse than that. Once accidently plugged a left handed cable into my right handed bass and it almost tore the neck off trying to reorient itself. Had to replace the pickguard, the strings, and the nut.

Correct speaker selection is very important in any professional band setting. For instance, it's a well established fact that if your band plays strictly instrumental music none of the speakers in your cabinets need to have voice coils. Likewise, if your band has a brass section you should use cabinets that have a horn type speaker in order to accurately reproduce the trumpet and trombone sounds. A folded horn type speaker should only be used if your brass section remains seated while playing. And for safety's sake never blow a driver, it can be very distracting and lead to a real problem while on the road.

+1

A cabinet fitted with a port is only suitable for use in quayside situations, & those fitted with grills should be restricted to kitchen evironments.

Any speaker used for the reproduction of particularly loud & discordant music will need to be hooked up with DIN plugs. On no account should they be connected with Banana Plugs, unless you're in a Monkees tribute band.
