Take some of your vinyl records if you do not have any then use your parents records 45's work best, you will need to remove your strings for this one. A lighter of some kind? or a torch. Take your bass outside and place it on the ground in the grass works best. Now place the records on the bass in different place of the body. once you have them on fire up the lighter or torch and applied direct flame to the records (sometimes pouring a little lighter fluid or gasoline helps speed up the process) Let the records melt completely so they are in a liquid state. Now grab the neck of the bass and let the liquid run down the body. lay it back down and let it dry for about 20 mins. there you have it

got a small scale bass neck and you wanted it long well here is the solution:

first remove the neck from your bass put the screws back into the neck 1/2 way down, next get two pieces of thick rope and tie one end to the headstock and the other around the base of the neck "yeah see the screws help hold the rope in place", now take the neck outside and tie the loose end (headstock) to a branch overhead just high enough you can hold onto the neck with both hands over head. Now comes the fun part grip the neck tightly and hang from it, swinging back and forth is a good way of getting it longer faster also using pine tar used in baseball for the bats on the back of the neck helps you to hang on longer and won't hurt the surface two or three days take it down replace the neck and wala Long scale bass congratulations!

Just purchased a fairly expense used bass but the guy before put a few stickers on it well we can fix that:
this one is quick and only a few steps.
number one remove the strings, number two fill you tub or if you have a pool or hot tub, lake river, the ocean any of these will work grab the bass by the neck and submerge the body only (make sure you do not wet the neck) let the body stay submerged for at least an hour you want to make sure the glue backing is completely removed from the finish. After an hour use a hair dryer and blow hot air on the stickers you will be amazed how easily they peel away completely.

bought a bass with a maple neck but a rosewood fretboard and you wanted maple well don't fret (pun intended)
We can fix that did you know that all fretboards are made of maple? well it's true there is maple under that rosewood boys and girls! And here is how to fix your problem. Remove the strings quickest way is snip them at the 12th fret put them aside so you can put them back together later. Next get some very coarse 36 grit sandpaper wrap it around a 1-1/4 in. x 2 1/2 inch harwood dowel now using a back and forth motion slowly sand down the fretboard it is important to spend only a minute on each fret starting at the 1st fret and working down to the 22nd (bass necks have more some have less) now repeat the process till you see the beautiful maple finish coming through and the best part is you won't have to sand the now exposed maple because it happens during the process.

Got a bass with a slow sticky neck? well we can fix that:
Go to the refrigerator yeah that's right and take out a piece of bacon and put it in a ziplok bag and toss it into your gig bag
When you get to the show grab that bacon and rub it on the back of the neck works wonders! And you can get two or 3 gigs out of that same piece.

Hey people I just got an email from this bass player asking if there was a safe way to clean crude off of your pickups?
We sure do. Take some rubbing alcohol and some water mix 1 part alcohol to 4 parts water. now mix that around once it is mixed well, pour it directly on to your pickups, I know you are like what??? but the alcohol works to make the water into a contact cleaner which we all know it is safe to use contact cleaner on your electronics. Let sit overnight and in the morning clean them off with a cotton cloth see all that crude on the rag? told you :)
