Let's spread some musical misinformation

Most 4 string basses are tuned G D A E which is the exact same tuning as the lower 4 strings on most guitars. So if you want to be able to play either instrument in a band, just buy a guitar. Limit yourself to the lower 4 strings when playing the bass parts and use all 6 strings for the guitar parts.
Actually, now you mention it, that's how I started playing bass in the first place.
Then I realised that the B and high E strings were redundant if I got a bass with 24 frets.

True story!

The old English laws say that musicians (and actors) performing before noon must wear Bowler hats during the show.
Sadly, these laws are rarely complied to nowadays, and A Coockwork Orange might have been one of the last examples of seing the law adhered to.

Drummers are always the most gentle people you can meet, both polite and couteous, with an overbearing sense of empathy for their fellow men.
They are especially sensitive to the emotional needs of women, and demonstrate a tolerance beyond all reproach with regard to the less fortunate members of society.
