Let's spread some musical misinformation

The keyboard stand was invented by Rick Wakeman when he realised he needed somewhere to put his synthesiser so used the ironing board he had brought along to keep his cape looking smart. This was later developed into the keyboard stand as we know it today.

He went on to develop the keytar after a careless roadie broke his ironing board.

Impoverished blues musicians often had to seek work as lumberjack and in those days as well as having to wear an onion on your belt (origin of the track Green Onions), you had to provide your own tools. They could not afford them so had to hew down trees with their guitars, hence the term "axe" for a guitar. This led to the development of the solid body guitar which is marginally better for chopping down trees with.

The band Iron Butterfly was so named as the band were all avid collectors of vintage irons. Other fans of domestic appliances have included Nicky Wire of the Manic Street Preachers who collects vacuum cleaners (not actually disinformation), Ozzy Osbourne, who has the biggest collection of toasters in California, and of course Geddy Lee who is obsessed by clothes dryers and chicken cooking systems.

Geddy also has a collection of large popcorn poppers - to be clear, large poppers of popcorn, not poppers of large popcorn, nor a collection of many poppers of popcorn.

The development of the bridge has saved many musical lives.
Just be sure the music you give to the band, matches the music you wrote for the bridge, or you may be putting those musical lives at risk.

The design firm for the following bridge did the calculations on one design, then gave a different design to the company that built the bridge.

The King County Road Services Division has scheduled an emergency closure of Tolt Hill Bridge 1834A where Northeast Tolt Hill Road crosses the Snoqualmie River, west of the City of Carnation. King County had structural engineers review the work of the private contractor who designed the Tolt Hill Bridge. They discovered discrepancies between the design calculations and the actual construction.

Tolt Hill Bridge 1834A opened for public use on May 30, 2008.

Why is this considered an emergency?
Based upon the new calculations and using the current standards, there are a couple of key connections between steel beams on the underside of the deck (“cords”) that may not be able to safely support the bridge itself or any additional weight.

And rehearse, rehearse, rehearse. If you don't have the bridge down cold, this could happen:

They also fired the drummer. Because a lead engineer is basically a lead guitarist (who plays the engine).

Don't be silly. The bridge was invented to keep the instruments dry while playing Take Me to the River shortly after the development of electric guitars and basses. The development of the bridge has saved many musical lives.
Nope! A bridge is a loan to buy instruments and consumables, so the band can produce new songs.
