Let's spread some musical misinformation

SORRY! I posted in the wrong thread! Two years ago today, 29 June 2015, at the doctor's office, I came out and two girls are looking under my car. My Grandson was with us, so he did all the hard work of capturing this lost kitten. I already have a few rescues, so Grandson called his Mom and asked if he could take her home. Junie took the hundred and ten mile ride to her new home which she enjoys with new family friends.View attachment 1165911 View attachment 1165917 View attachment 1165919

I sssssooooo would've named that little kitten "Two-Face" and put a two-headed coin on its collar. The name's obvious, perhaps too obvious.
Instead of "Two-Face", Harvey if male, or Gilda if female. 'Nother good'n would be "Invalid Link Removed"...

This post gave me positive felines. :p

Feline Groovy here too! The cat's posterior...

Sorry, the above wasn't musical misinformation — no need to have kittens about it.

Back to your regular-scheduled programme...

Bagpipes make their distinctive sound by having a live cat inside a bag. This knowledge is secret, and only revealed when the cat is let out of the bag, hence the well known expression.

It was Herr Schrödinger who made the discovery and was the first to ever let the cat out of the bagpipe pouch.

"Game of Thrones" was once titled "Game of Drones", but the series' producers weren't sure how well a drama based on bagpipers, the men heaving claymores and women heaving cleavage against their oppressors, would fend outside of Bonny Ol'.

Producers wanted to base the series on a Rush song and name the show "Game of Bones", yet the writers refused citing difficulty with time signatures. Compromises were made, "Game of Thrones" has since proven successful, but the writers still secretly call it "Game of Crones" in reference to the show's producers.

The show is derived from a marketing team typo, originally meant to be "Game of Stones" — the misspelling wasn't noticed until it became clear that Mick's botox-lip treatments and Keef's blood-transplant regimen would hamper scheduling too much.

The series' original creators had actually envisioned "Game of Scones" — a chef beau-arty show anchored by bass-players with musical guests revealing and making their best recipes before putting on a musical performance. Alas it was found that too many bass-players in the kitchen spoiled the normally-successful reality-recipe, brawls broke out between hosts Teddy Cook, Stu Cook, Brian Cook, Steve Cook and James Cook — The Network canned the Cooks AND creators and flushed the whole idea down the garburator like so much table-scraps.

During development, other ideas were euthanised for good reason...

Game of Throwns — deemed politically incorrect and Minny Kiss wasn't willing to sign on as hosts so the idea was tossed.

Game of Thorns — deemed spiritually incorrect, as well as Invalid Link Removed refusing to come out of retirement for the director's throne after receiving a low-ball offer — Twas a thorn in producers' sides and throughout the current show's initial development, budget constraint was a cross to bear by the executive producers. Now that the Thrones show's making money, it's a guilded Christmas every day for execs, cast and crew alike.

Game of Phones — deemed unfeasible due to current lack of land-line usage and next-gen mobile-number tracing software. Hosts the Jerky Boys were arrested after the first series of prank calls to Lars Ulrich whilst pretending to be Jason Newstead. The judge said the Boys had matured too much and were no longer funny, sentencing them to a low security prison, but with zero phone privileges.

Game of Clones — The Marketing Empire that is the Star Wars militaristic-industrial complex squashed all attempts by Them thar Clones to star in the show. Lawyers from the awfulspring of Lucass Film opined that the world wasn't ready for such a Bollywood re-imagining of the Star Whores Looniverse.

Within Aytch-B.O., there were a few execs intent on "Game of Tones" serialising the early life of Ronnie Laine, and how he went from being a plumber's apprentice to holding down the low end for the Small Faces. Unfortunately, the show was thought to only appeal to bass-players and tradesman and the network wanted a larger audience-bowl to drink from. That idea, too, was flushed, and the show as it stands is flush with cash.

That flush of cash led to the animated and highly amusing but poorly written Game of Loans that slipped under Prime Time. That is, it was sub-prime...

The members of The Three Degrees were all college educated and sued Queen when originally called The Four Degrees (although this was earlier The Four Degrees But Brian's Studying For a PhD, but this was too long, even as TFDBBSFAP, affectionately known as 'tufty bubs fap' to fans, which Queen considered using until they discovered that it was the name of Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band B side additionally featuring George Melly on slide kazoo).

Talking of Melly, he created the Mellytron, aka Mellotron.
