No such problems for me. Mine are all passive and kept in a spare bedroom. I also make sure they get exercised before bedtime. If you play them after midnight, they turn into guitars. You have been warned.
They tried it for rap too, but the AI committed suicide.

We know guitar strings are way cheaper than bass strings. This is the case, because bass strings are stretched to the appropriate gauges. From one 0.100 bass E string 136 high E guitar strings can be produced. See?

On that basis, bass strings are a bargain. We should probably pay more. I will write to the major string manufacturers shortly suggesting price increases so we aren't cheating them out of profits.

Some combo amps with onboard EQ came with a knob between "lower mid" and "high mid" called "baffyoon". You don't see it all that much on today's amps though.

One great thing about Lego amps is that you can securely attach them to the Lego stages, and clip your Lego bass to the amp between sets. And if you wear Lego shoes you can get the wide stance required for metal, er, plastic.
The downside is that your amp may shed chunks of Lego on stage which is problematic for your singer that likes to be barefoot. It is how Ian Gillan learned he could hit those high notes and why he now always wears shoes.
Lego shoes were great in the 1970s as you could easily follow glam band fashion by adding or removing height on a weekly basis.
I've heard some of those thirty second songs, but they all seem to be about soda or things to make your carpets smell nice, or buying new furniture. It's really poor quality song writing, but I blame They Might Be Giants for starting the trend with that long advert they did about buying birdhouses.
