For that you need the playdoh fun factory. Select colour, length and style then lick the output transformer to make the connection permanent.
Real story: When I was only 10 yo, I found out that two transformers can get you back to mains voltage... by licking the wires with 220 volts on it.
Misinformation: That's how I became a bassist.There is a new blend of funk and jazz. It's called 'junk'. The best basses for junk are the Peavey T-series, ideally with 80's Peavey amps and their original strings. Since most junk venues have poor lighting, DR Hi-Beams can help your whole band see at only a slightly increased chance the guitarist will tell you to tun down..
Tuning your bass about half a semitone lower will make you cut through the mix.

With some strings, that is how much the total bass-string combination will cost.
If you install a Veritone in a Baritone, it'll sound like a phone.

Nanotechnology has finally enabled the production of strings that are both Flat and Round. No longer do you need to string two basses with different strings nor change strings etc.
With one bass and the Feral Feline Flaunderstrings™®, you can go from flatwound to roundwound with the flip of a switch (and vicey-versy).
To explain in lay-person's terms, the switch is connected to a micro-currant that runs through the strings. When a negative charge is passed through the strings they revert to their natural-flat shape; but flip the switch to a positive charge and the strings change on a molecular level — like how a muscle flexes.
This current is set to a special subharmonic frequency that will not affect the bass's electronics' audible signal, but like any wave, the current can be adjusted to give the "roundwound" string a specific peak-to-peak distance for some subtle tonality changes by making a fatter roundwound.
To protect the intellectual property, no photos of the strings are available at this time. However...!
Once government approval is met, Feral Feline Labs will make the strings available to the public. Just need to overcome one last hurdle: when current is NOT applied to the strings they implode creating a small black hole in the fabric of space and time. Kind of like how Super-Dark Nano-Black or VantaBlack suck up visible light, except instead of sucking in just light-rays, these black holes suck in all manner of energy and matter.
SDNB (left) & Vanta (right) — the blackest of all blacks, but not to be confused with the All Blacks.
Due to unexpected power outages and batteries running dry, FFL has exhausted its supply of test basses and beta testers.
To this end, FFL needs more basses and volunteers for further testing, and this final hurdle will surely soon be licked like a hit single.

Micro currant? Is that related to the plum pudding model of the atom?
Feral Felines (TM) also announces the HUB, or Heisenberg's uncertainty bass in which wave-particle duality and quantum mechanics are used such that the exact note played is only resolved when it enters the listeners ears. It may also cause a cat to die.

ThunderBassist Laboratories are working on the "everlasting, never out of tune" or ENOOT™ bass string. No nano technology, but pure quantum mechanics instead. After having produced an entangled pair of strings, they're separated. One is to be installed on the bass, while the other one has to be kept under optimized conditions, regarding stress, temperature and humidity. The latter has to be observed periodically to ensure it doesn't wear. Once confirmed, it automatically can be concluded that its entangled partner string doesn't wear as well. Little drawback: The string on the bass may NEVER be observed.
When Heisenberg met Bohr, Bohr played Heisenberg some piano pieces in the evening. Heisenberg commented that he seemed to be playing the wrong notes. Bohr noted that he was playing all the right notes, just not necessarily in the right order. Heisenberg noted that if Bohr played more slowly then his uncertainty principle predicted that the position of the notes in time would be much more certain and the notes would probably be in the right order. Then Einstein popped round and they debated whether, if Bohr played very quickly indeed it could be determined whether the notes sounded before or after he played them. And this is how the heavy metal guitar solo was invented.
