Let's spread some musical misinformation

Stroopwafels originate from the city of Gouda, just a few miles from where I'm living. Stroopwafel - Wikipedia (no misinformation).

I did not know that, but it just gave me a great idea.

Slap a slab of Gouda Kaas between a couple of Stroopwafels — heat optional. Cold or hot, I figure it'd taste great either way. Seriously. No misinfo.

Life's been pretty good here in HK... I can get both stroopwafels and dropjes, albeit not always the freshest stroop... And there's a really good shop not far from where I work that specialises in kaas.

Here's a fun-filled fact: Beethoven actually named his works after how many pounds of giant diamond-shaped dropjes it took him to complete each piece.

The "Ninth" was a massive undertaking, and the German composer almost gave up and called it his Nein(th).

Nine Inch Nails actually refers to nine inch-long nails. Before it became an industrial band, it was all about world music and found instruments, such as thumb pianos, and primitive harps, with the nine aforementioned nails as tuning pegs.

Reznor found that steel drums were too hard to build, and that harps fed back, and so everything got replaced by samples, and industrial music was born.

The kazoo was originally the Kalamazoo, but the name was shortened when the city indicated it would send out goons, hired goons, to ensure that its name was not besmirched by an association with the 'instrument'

Of course, the name of the city was originally Kalamazoozoozoozoo, with Chattanooga Choo Choo, being one of the few popular culture references left. It's easy to see how the original name lent itself for use as the instrument name.

The other story that has been floated is that the inventor of the kazoo had actually intended to name it the "kalamazoo". He was completing a patent application for said "kalamazoo" and had just typed "ka" when he looked up and noticed that his wife had left the cap off of the Cheez Whiz. After putting the cap on the Cheez Whiz and then returning to his inventor's desk he resumed typing. Thinking he had actually typed "kalama" he finished the name by only adding "zoo" to "ka", and so the "kazoo" was officially invented.

That's a total misload of information, everyone who's anyone knows that The Great Gazoo invented the kazoo. After all, he was from the year 2000 and the Gazoo kazoo has been around a long, long, time.

Actually, I believe the city charter indicates 10 zoos, with a rather odd syncopation.
