Let's spread some musical misinformation

The brother of Kinks front man Ray Davies, is of course Spencer, who gave Stevie Winwood his big break. His other brother, David, went into politics and recently resigned after his Brexit negotiation strategy of playing Village Green Preservation Society in response to all questions failed, as Michel Barnier is more of a Rolling Stones fan. The new government strategy is to have Keith Richards 'sort it'.

At the time of this video Gladys Knight was a Commander in Star Fleet--as can be seen by the three Pips.

And all of the members of the Commodores were high ranking officials too. As was Captain Beefheart, later Rear Admiral Beefheart. This is because they were all time travellers from the 25th century, sent back to keep rock, pop and soul alive against the threat of a resurgence of polka.

Pickups of active basses are fitted with electromagnets, so there won't be any decay, like with permanent magnets.

You have to make sure you don't connect up a 110V to a 220V supply in case it attracts all the drummers cymbals and other hardware to the overpowered magnets. You also need to make sure that the cycle rate of the mains fits with your musical style.

Tuning mechanisms are fitted to tune in on the mains frequency.

Sadly, after the performance the Pips changed out of their suits into matching red shirts and were never seen again.

As you can tell from Trout Mask Replica, Captain Beefheart didn't really have a good understanding of rock as in his future rock music had died out. As had poetry, apparently. Bulbous things were very prevalent, however.

Speaking of magnets, electric guitars are perfectly redundant instruments.

Vibrations travel through the air, vibrating a magnet in the pickups, which generates an electrical signal, which travels through some wires, which vibrates a magnet in the amp speakers, creating vibrations in the air. The entire thing could be nullified by simply going acoustic.

This is, without a doubt, the single best example of misinformation ever published in this thread.
I got my vibrations wrong. I used to have an entire diatribe worked out with half-truths and pseudo-information...But whatevs, this is a thread about misinformation. And as we all know, trolling is a art, and the best misinformation has the semblance of truth to it.

The Institute of Physics has censured Professor Brian Cox and banned the song "Things Can Only Get Better" from all of its official functions as it violates the laws of thermodynamics which indicate that, due to increases in entropy, things can only get worse.

In other news, the Pedantry Society of the United States of America has banned the song "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" due to its use of a double negative, and general inaccuracy, and is insisting it be renamed "You Have Already Seen Something".

Musicians often neglect the impact of time signatures on speed. For instance, 120 bpm in 4/4 time is easy, however, when trying the same in 12/8 time, the player must play 50% faster and 75% faster in 7/4 time. When you encounter a piece that is too fast to play, it is easier to learn if you change time signature to 3/4 or even 2/4.
