Let's spread some musical misinformation

Bad boy Kurt Cobain from Nirvana wrote one of the most catchy product sales jingles in marketing history. When approached by Mennen to write a little jingle for their new line of deodorant, Kurt was hesitant at first. It would ruin his grunge/punk image and would largely be viewed as a sell out to the big corporations. But the money proved to be too tempting.

Kurt wisely disguised the jingle as a grunge song and purposely slurred the words to make his sell out less obvious. However, at the end of the day he incorporated the advertisers wishes into the deodorant song. Specifically, that the deodorant could be used by anyone, including albinos (who rarely sweat) and that it had some added side benefits including repelling mosquitos and even increasing libido. In Mennen's own words, "everyone wants to smell like teen spirit".

Kurt of course, denied what he had done but many saw through the lie.

Casablanca was originally meant to be a musical called "Castanets".

An excerpt of dialogue from the original script:

Rick: You know what tempo I want to hear.
Sam: No, I don't.
Rick: You played adagio for her, you can play adagio for me!
Sam: Well, I don't think I can, mebbe moderato...
Rick: If she can stand that tempo, I can! Play adagio!
