Let's spread some musical misinformation

Erm... Are you asking for facts? On a misinformation thread?

Hold my beer...

No. I don't recall asking for facts. I was just waiting for someone to post some of these imaginary rules I've been accused of violating. I would think you'd come up with something pretty cool on a thread like this.

Oh well...

As for the last bit... Can't you hold it yourself? Lightweight drinker, maybe! :D

No rules have ever been broken here.

However, one of the set squares has taken a savage pounding, two protractors are cracked beyond repair, there's a compass embedded in the ceiling, and all the erasers have been swiped — by drummers and guitarists, no doubt.

...but losing ground rapidly.

But who can forget when Deep Purple invaded Liechtenstein and ran it for a week? Even now, Bono is planning to take over the Vatican. Well, Sacha Baron Cohen is, as he's now Bono. Cardinal The Edge has a good ring to it. "What effects did you use on The Joshua Tree?" "That would be an ecumenical matter". Arthur Brown did consider taking over Andorra and calling it The Crazy Country of Arthur Brown. And it is surprising what an efficient administrator Tony Iommi is when given charge of several battalions of dragoons. Of course you'd have Bruce Dickinson in charge of your air force.

Democracy Rock (or Democrock as it is known) is a new, experimental, and tedious form of music. Before the band starts playing, the audience elects an electoral college who choose a band leader for the night. The audience then elects a representative group who then directly select songs, keys, and chord progressions, and give the band leader direction on preferred lyrical content.

Performing a concert requires about an hour of elections, another hour of debate and insults followed by about 10 minutes of horrible music designed by committee.

How much the audience pays to attend and how much the band gets paid for the performance is decided by the elected group. This has resulted in some very unfortunate situations in which the band has been promised very high pay, but ticket price has been set close to zero.

Glue sandpaper to your soles and then, when visiting Paris, you can do an impromptu soft shoe shuffle, for Mona Lisa in the Louvre, or even at your mother-in-law's place. May be safer at the Louvre.

It works even better in the Egyptian section of the British Museum as a tribute to the musical hall stars Wilson, Keppel and Betty, of which Betty has never been seen.
