As the name suggests they're great fans of the band 10cc which is about 20 loving spoonfulls
C.C. Rider was originally known as C.C. Driver (until he lost his license). After his initial success and fame waned he became bitter and his attitude soured. This led to the end of most of his long time friendships. Today he goes by the name C.C. Walker. Perhaps Uber will allow him to reclaim his famous stage name.
The song "Guantanamera" performed by Julio Iglesias was originally a Cuban tourism song. It's about all the fertile land in Cuba and how easy it is to grow Guantanamera which translates to One Ton Tomatoes.
The song "Guantantarantula" is about the one ton tarantulas that live in Cuba. This is not considered a tourism song. There are no known recorded versions and any live performances end up with the band being severely beaten.
The horse in the desert DID have a name! Ir was Bob!
The 1975 Queen song "I'm In Love With My Car" by Roger Taylor was literally about Roger's car. He loved his Alpha Romeo and went on to marry it later that year. They were divorced and the marriage annulled in 1976 when the Alpha Romeo unexpectedly developed electrical problems. As part of the divorce settlement the car received royalties on the song until it was scrapped in 1983.
The Bay City Rollers were named for a gang of toilet paper vandals that terrorized the San Francisco area in the late 1960's.
10cc was twice as good. Four times so when Godley and Creme left.

This is 100% correct, other than the fact that the band 10cc is only 2 loving spoonfuls, not 20.
That, and the fact that they were distracted by a girl (my Lord!) in a flatbed Ford who slowed down to take a look at them. If they had only taken it easy on the gas pedal.

I thought the girl in the Flatbed Ford was slowing down because it was her job to pull the other Ford out and take it to the junkyard ???? What the Good Old Boys really needed was, seven long-haired friends of Jesus in a chartreuse microbus to pass by, but it didn't happen in time!
in 1982 Queen were on Tour in Montreal in Canada and on the same night Duran Duran were playing in Toronto
- but due to a flight mix up Roger Taylor from Duran Duran ended up in Montreal and Roger Taylor from Queen ended up in Toronto
Unable to get another flight at short notice back to Toronto, Roger Taylor from Duran Duran stepped in and played Queens show and Roger Taylor from Queen stayed in Toronto and filled in for Duran Duran
- but due to a flight mix up Roger Taylor from Duran Duran ended up in Montreal and Roger Taylor from Queen ended up in Toronto
