Let's spread some musical misinformation

The Beatles were originally called The Beatless due to inferior drumming, and the loss of the last s was due to poor planning on a poster which left insufficient space for the full name.
That is the story John told, but George (who many regard as more reliable) explained that 8 letters cost 160 quid, but 7 letters was only 70 quid. Being musicians, they weren't good at math but knew that 160 was more than 70.

That was the first gig after the completion of Ringo's drumming course, and the gig was successful and the shortened name stuck.
Although Ringo attended all the classes, the school assigned him a grade of unsatisfactory (fail) and noted that he would be required repeat the course.

That's like a policeman saying "I've contemplated taking a few lessons from the mafia"

depending on which mafia we're talking about, I've read that some of them actually took care of their communities, so perhaps not all bad. I get what you're saying. I'm just pointing out that there's a whole lot of grey and little is simply black and white.

except the fact that banjos are annoying. That's pretty clear.
