Let's spread some musical misinformation

GAS has been banned in NYS. Now we need to suffer from ELECTRIC.... "Emerging Longings Eliciting Costly Transactions Regarding Instrument Curation."
Here in the UK they are banning PETROL. Purchasing of Electric Telecaster Relics Off Lancastrians. So at least here the ban is pretty specific and not too hard to avoid. And Yorkshiremen weren't doing it anyway, but do have a new ready market to fleece, er, offer at a reasonable price, old Fenders to those from Manchester. (Yorkshirewomen were never so petty)

Comparing bass brands with countries:
Gibson - USA. Old money. Lifestyle brand. Buys all the biggest business out there.
Fender - USSR. Industrial design. Affordable means of production. Starting their industry by reading someone else's schematics.
Silvertone - UK. Makes most of their money by their other business. Outsourcer, to the USA sometimes.
Steinberger - France. Stylistic design. Headless. Germanic name.
Yamaha - China. Makes everything. Started the business in the low end. Excels at affordable means of transportation.
Ibanez - Japan. Started out in the low end. Worked all the way into the high end. Puts progressive elements into mainstream musical products.
Rickenbacker - North Korea. Small family business for 3 generations. The second one didn't know squat about how to run it.
