As has mine, interestingly enough there is continuing research into Carbon nano tube technology. Apparently, technology is approaching it's speed limits, because of the current limitations of silicon based semi conductors.
Carbon nano "tubes" are being researched because current travels faster in a vacuum. Just stuff I've read recently, I'm certainly no expert.
