Let's talk GK heads

What GK head would you guys recommend for a guy (me) who usually plays an Ampeg SVT but who also digs his Markbass LMII? I play mostly classic rock (fingerstyle) these through mostly Fenders and Rickenbackers.

Reason I ask is I respect GK as a brand but just have no clue where to start insofar as giving their stuff a try.

I'm a vintage svt owner and lover but I recently acquired a 800rb and havn't pluged my svt in since. Awesome power and tone. Especially through my 8x10, it's a match made in heaven as far as I can tell.

I'm really intrigued in the new GK stuff, like the fusion 550 (the MB fusion is not out yet...), but I can't try one out because here in italy the amp is not for sale till now!
searched on TB, harmony-c, etc. and others but honestly there are very few reviews out there. it would be great if anyone who plays real new stuff could help us understand mpre about GK nirvana...If anyone wants to answer to this call, please, you are welcome!!!:hyper:

Ive played just about every GK head available....

and i bought the fusion 550 and havent had an ounce of regret....i havent found a reason to use to motorized knobs yet..but other than that, this thing is a tone/power monster....its perfect for my style(s) of playing.....ive had it since august08 and still get that ''new amp'' tingle every time i power it up:hyper:....im considering replacing the pre-amp tubes but even as is,its not nessacery, just my own ******** quest for ultimate tone:D

i also noticed the price jumped up about a hundred bucks on these puppies!!!!:rollno:...that sucks for new buyers.

Just ordered a new 800rb. Borrowing one off the shelf of the music store until it comes in. Very happy with it and even happier now that I put my dbx160 compressor in front of it.

Now that I hear it with my Eden D410xlt, I don't want to sell my beloved cab. I was going to sell it and downsize to two 112's but due to my bad back but now I am thinking twice about it. Maybe thinking three times.

Everyone will have different opinions on this. But....

I've owned the 800RB (2 of them) and (2) 400RB's. I love the 400 with a pair of efficient cabs. Nice punch, a tad grindy if need be and just a great amp in every respect.
